Maxwell Technologies offers world-class radiation-tolerant electronic components for the space industry. Initially, we are producing EEPROM memory devices.

For the first time, these are now being designed, developed and manufactured in the UK for the vitally important European satellite market and further afield to the rapidly developing markets in Asia and South America.

It follows the launch of a microelectronics division of Maxwell Technologies Ltd in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, in 2010 and a new special relationship with C-Mac MicroTechnology, also of Yarmouth.

With its wide experience of the space market, C-MAC is developing, manufacturing and testing the 1Mb and 4Mb EEPROMs to the traditional highest standard of Maxwell products and ready to distribute directly to customers in Europe and beyond. Customers will no longer need to have components exported from the US.

Instead, they can rely on the UK division which is focused on technologies to provide high performance semi-conductors, used in the domestic and military space industry, tolerant from the effects of radiation.
